Molly and Chavo on September 11, 2009

Hello Everyone and thank you for visiting our website.

My name is Mollyann Piunno. I have been active in the horse industry for over 20 years. I became curious about the Gypsy breed in 2004. Like most who fall in love with the breed, I was first won over by their beauty and their enchanted presence. However after researching the breeds history and development, I soon realized there was much more to this breed than a pretty presence. The breeds gentle disposition, versatitlity, willingness to please, and intelligence was exactly what I was looking for in a next horse. After researching the breed for nearly two years, in May of 2006, I purchased FF Chavo. When he stepped off the trailer, I knew he was the best decision I'd ever made. The very first time I touched his face, and he looked at me with his "wise beyond his years" eyes, I knew we'd always have a special bond.

First and foremost, I am a dedicated Gypsy horse owner who wants nothing but the best for my stallion and the breed. I have decided to train, show, and promote FF Chavo in the discipline of dressage. However, FF Chavo could easily excel in the hunter/jumper ring as well as driving and western disciplines. Before purchasing FF Chavo, I had in mind a very specific and long-term breeding plan and that plan has never once changed. My plan is to breed for performance gypsy horses that will excel in dressage, while preserving the standard of the breed. Having one of the larger (in height) Gypsy stallions in the United States, we would like to continue to breed for the "old" tradional type gypsy. One that is heavy in bone and taller in height, without compromising their beauty. As any gypsy breeder knows, the larger "old" traditional type is becoming harder and harder to find, yet there is still a need for such a type in the performance world. My plan is to help fill that need while keeping my focus on the horse more suited for dressage.
